Freespire, Samba and Apache

Firstly, we have the announcement of Freespire - you might be surprised to know it is the free version of Linspire. It also involves the developer of the old Freespire, which was promptly renamed SquiggleOS, and then discountinued. This new distribution has already come under fire.
We also have the creater of Samba talking in a Microsoft case, while Apache has become the leader in SSL servers.
